Note: Constitution Day is the 17th (ratified 1787), please encourage friends to read/study it next month. See link on this page (also 'Constitution Made Easy' book).

Events for 2011

We will meet on the second Saturday of most months, from 12 - 2 p.m. at the corner of Torrance Bl. and Madrona Av. in front of the pool building. A simple demonstration with Taxed Enough Already (T.E.A.) signs, American flags, historic flags, personally made signs, etc. to display for passing cars and pedestrians on the busy corner.

We will meet on the following days:

Saturday, May 14th 12 - 2 p.m. (note: The Armed Forces Day Parade is May 21st, V-E Day is May 8th, Memorial Day is May 30th)

Saturday, June 11th 12 - 2 p.m. (note: Flag Day is June 14th, D-Day is June 6th)

Monday, July 4th 12 - 2 p.m. (Independence Day) (note: Special Congressional Election is July 17th)

Saturday, August 13th 12 - 2 p.m.

Saturday, September 10th 12 - 2 p.m. (note: Patriot Day is Sept. 11th, 9/12 Rallies, Constitution Day is Sept. 17th, V-J Day is Sept. 2nd)

The Constitution Class was a success and people were very encouraged by the incredible teaching from Rick Green. I must apologize however at the extremely poor directions that I provided both to you and to Rick Green's office. I would never want to do anything that reflect badly on him and his staff. Constitution ('Mini') Class - Thursday Jan. 20th, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Location: 21156 South Santa Fe ( at Van Buren Street ) Long Beach 90810 ( Carson-Dominguez area ) in the Homeowners Association Meeting Room ...exit on 710 Freeway is Del Amo West; ....exit on 405 is Santa Fe... North; exit on 91 Freeway is Alameda South; from Torrance surface streets take Carson St. eastbound, left on Santa Fe. Lots of parking on street and at local city park (verified O.K. with the city).

(The Constitution Class DVD package will be offered at a reduced rate if you would like to purchase it and get the whole 6 hrs on DVD).
There is also a 'Full' class in Valencia on Saturday (6 hours) and a free talk on 'Restoring America's Constitution' on Friday night, 6:30 - 8 p.m. I have heard Rick give this talk - it's EXCELLENT!! This presentation is the primer for the class. (The 'Full' class is $45 indiv./$60 couple/$75 family).

When: Wednesday, October 20 3:00 – 5:00 PM
Where: 501 East Carson Street (Corner of Carson & Civic Plaza in front of the Double Tree Hotel)
Speakers include: Star Parker, John Stammreich, Shawn Hoffman and other Carson Community Leaders.
Immediately following, you are invited to a Luau with Polynesian food and dancing.

Measure H is on the November 2 Ballot. Carson City officials spent $20,710 on pre-election brochures and commercials, hoping that they will persuade the voters to approve a sales tax increase to 10.75%! The city may have been legally allowed to “educate” their citizens about Measure H using public funds, but the brochures and commercials were more like an advertisement in favor of passing Measure H.
